3D printing is used for direct digital manufacturing of single complex parts, a set of parts in small volumes or limited production runs, just by pressing a button, or nearly! This production system designs durable, accurate, realistic and repeatable parts. It is suitable for constructing fastenings, factory tools and final parts, as well as the most demanding 3D prototyping, while reducing the time and cost of development. It generally requires from 40 min to 4 hours to produce it.
The fused deposition modelling (FDM) system, with the Fortus 900mc 3D printer, maximises uninterrupted production. The large manufacturing envelope allows manufacturing of parts with dimensions up to 914 x 610 x 914 mm. Depending on the complexity of the original CAD file, parts are produced with precision of plus or minus 0.09 mm or plus or minus 0.0015 mm.
The PolyJet printing system, with the Connex 500 3 Object, offers you the full range of multi-material 3D printing in a manufacturing platform able to handle large models or a large number of parts. 3D models can be printed in 14 different materials in a single task. The manufacturing format extends as far as 490 x 390 x 200 mm.
