FORTUS forms part of standard production for Stratasys, leader in 3D printers. They make it possible to achieve production without restrictive costs and machining deadlines that cannot be reduced. It’s great flexibility makes it possible to apply changes at lower cost, at any time in the production cycle. The Fortus 900 MC 3D system offers the widest range of modelling materials using fused deposition modelling, including high performance thermoplastics, for incredibly durable and precise parts of size going up to 914 x 914 x 610 mm.

The most powerful FDM modelling system

The Fortus 900 MC printer is the most powerful fused deposition modelling (FDM) system. It is notable for its remarkable responsiveness, precision and profitability. It has two major advantages: all the materials options of the Fortus range of 3D production systems and a very large manufacturing envelope. Its only real competition is the old manufacturing method.

Production thermoplastics, live

With the nine available options for materials, the Fortus 900 MC is recommended for constructing fastenings, factory tools and final parts, as well as for the most demanding 3D prototyping applications. This machine has two material bays for maximum uninterrupted production. The materials include high performance thermoplastics for biocompatibility, dissipation of static and resistance to heat and chemical products. It is possible to choose between three layer thicknesses, so striking the right balance between the precision of details and speed of construction using FDM.
As necessary, 9 technical production thermoplastics:

  • ABS-ESD7 for dissipation of static
  • ABSi for translucency
  • ABS-M30 for high tensile strength, impact resistance and environmental stability
  • ABS-M30i for biocompatibility
  • FDM Nylon 12 for maximum robustness
  • PC for excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance
  • PC-ABS for perfect impact resistance combined with the mechanical properties and heat resistance of the PC and the appeal of ABS surfaces
  • PC-ISO for biocompatibility and high strength
  • PPSF for the best resistance to heat and chemical products
  • ULTEM 9085 for the blend of mechanical, chemical and thermal properties
